  • Long Description: The Rev. Lee Warren, Virginia director of Stop Hunger Now, tells the youth at Woodlake United Methodist Church in Midlothian, Va., that 30,000 people die each day of hunger related causes. The youth and older adults of the church packaged in two hours enough meals of dehydrated vegetables, soy protein, and rice to feed more than 8,000 hungry children in impoverished countries around the world. Stop Hunger Now was founded in 1998 by United Methodist minister, the Rev. Ray Buchanan, and plans to open a distribution warehouse on every major continent. A UMNS photo by John Gordon. Accompanies.
